LONELINESS

It's no coincidence that we're focusing on loneliness in December. Whilst the topic is relevant throughout the year, it can resonate with us particularly when the festivities begin and there's a feeling that we'd like to do more, see more people and feel as though we belong - with friends, family and other groups.

According to Campaign to End Loneliness (link below), 45% of UK adults feel occasionally, sometimes or often lonely. According to their study, of the 9 million UK adults who are lonely, some 4 million are older people.

​
